Knives and Forks Book Cover

Knives and Forks

Knives and Forks is about Brendan and Trevor, two rugby playing friends from school.

To settle a grudge, Trevor murders his own wife and then hatches an elaborate plan to frame Brendan for the crime.

The action takes place over a period of 24 hours on an island off the coast of Kerry. It has many twists and unexpected turns.

There aren't very many characters in the book, but it does have some wonderful ones, a wise old petrol pump and a chariot named Riley.

Lorcan Volkov

I'm Lorcan Volkov and I was born in Westchester, New York, in 1989. I grew up in NYC, Washington D.C., and Cork City. My mother is Irish and my father is Ukrainian-American which, hopefully, explains the name.

I have a degree in philosophy and a master's in mathematics.

I spend most of my time in Berlin with my partner who's a dancer and choreographer. I teach computer science and work with a consultancy which specializes in web3 and blockchain. In the past few years I've been lucky enough to work on interesting projects in Lisbon, Tbilisi and Marrakech.

I was a useful boxed in my teens but not any more. I try to play hurling when I get back to Cork and I enjoy playing the piano.

Knives and Forks is my first ever novel. I've a few more short novels in the works. Hopefully, you'll get a chance to read them in the coming years.
